Just heard about the kitchen garden foundation
http://www.kitchengardenfoundation.org.au/

This is coordinated by the well known chef Stephanie Alexander, and the aim is to get children delighting in growing and making great healthy food. There can be nothing better for hands on kids for learning.

I think that two primary schools in Altona/ Altona Meadows have already implemented this. Would be a fantastic idea for more primary schools, as this is the best way to set eating habits and a love of good food for life.

I heard Stephanie speak about this here on the ABC- Well worth a listen.

Would love to hear from parents whose children attend these schools and see what they think.
