Sewerage Treatment Plant Empty Sewerage Treatment Plant

I don't know if anyone has noticed that the Altona Treatment Plant on Queen St, Altona Meadows has begun operations. I had the misfortune of driving past the site on the weekend, haven't to hold my breath as I drove past as the stench was unbearable. The residents of Altona Bay are closest to this and must now live with this stench.

Sewerage Treatment Plant Empty Re: Sewerage Treatment Plant

Okay, it's an old post and perhaps Alexander no longer feels the same way about the plant but I'll say this.
I live to the south of the plant, less than 1km as the crow flies, or should that be as the smell drifts? I very rarely smell anything coming from the plant and then only very faintly. What Alexander might have experienced is the smell that may have arisen as they started up the plant, a time often fraught with upsets during the bedding in of systems.
Anybody who remembers the old open sewer that used to run from Brooklyn to the Werribee farm would not be at all fazed by the Altona plant.
The recycling of so much water is well worth the very rare occasion when the smell is noticeable.
