Maribyrnong council has proposed the redrawing of council boundaries in the west due to Maribyrnong's smaller population and resources. The proposal suggests transferring Sunshine from Brimbank council to Maribyrnong and South Kingsvillle from Hobsons Bay to Maribyrnong. In compensation Hobsons Bay would receive Point Cook from Wyndham.

IMHO, exchanging South Kingsville for Point Cook appears to be a good deal as Point Cook is a vast area, with rapidly growing population. This will also extend the coastline of Hobsons Bay as Point Cook Coastal Park will fall within Hobsons Bay.

I agree. I think as a minimum Sanctuary Lakes (and Saltwater Coast estate) ie., suburbs east of Point Cook road should fall within the Hobsons Bay boundary.
