Car Pooling

I was talking to people from Transition Hobsons Bay this morning and an idea arose. I work at the University of Melbourne and know from Staff News that someone at the University did organize car pooling. I do not need car pooling as I take train, alight at North Melbourne and take a shuttle bus direct to the University.

I think car pooling will be a great idea if there are people living close by getting to destinations within the same area. This will reduce carbon footprint and result in monetary savings too. The problem is that you may not know people in your vicinity who have similar destinations as you. Hence, this forum may serve as a channel to seek people for car pooling.

You can either make use of this thread/topic or start a new one to invite or seek people for car pooling, indicating where you are staying, what's your destination, your schedules and flexibility.
