Thanks George. Is this a new freecycle? Do the members receive the post notifications by email like the Melbourne & Werribee Freecycle?

Yes they get notified by email. Hobsons Bays 'My Freecycle" has around 70 members. Worth having a look.

George, I will be keen to write a post about this freecycle in the Altona Blog. Do you have any background information? E.g. when was the Hobsons Bay Freecycle set up and who is its initiator?

It was thought of by Bill McPherson. He is listed as the Lead Moderator but his eyesight prevented him from participating in any way. Rolly Vargas was the Moderator and he asked me to become one too. There are two others listed as moderators but I have not seen them involved ever.
My Freecycle fits in well with my involvement in Seaholme Sustainabilty Street. There are around 70 members. I joined in July 2009.
